rain,rain

Suburbia rained last nite. Finally. Thank God Almighty.

These days were so hot, and hazy. The haze was making the days dark, as if it was cloudy and going to rain. Yesterday was the worst, the haze was so thick. Usually i can see the Perdana Menteri's building and the Masjid clearly from our house, but yesterday, it was as if they were fading away. The haze was caused mainly by some plantation or shrubs burning, so i was wondering where does the burning came from.

But then after office, there were some signs that it was going to rain. The sound of thunders and the strong wind, and a lil bit of prayer. Heheh. Everybody wants the rain to come. I think the rain is some sort of purification. I always loved rainy days.

After one whole windy and dark evening, at last at night the rain arrived. Was quite heavy actually. And we were all happy :D. Just as the rain came down, Papa and me rushed outside to see it. Papa reversed his car to be washed by the rain, and me, feeling the cold air was enough.

I felt like taking some pics of the rainy night, so i did try. But either the camera or me wasn't that good, i only got some not-so-nice pics. Heheh.

When we were small, everytime it was raining heavily, Papa always allowed us to go play in the garden. Well we didnt go everytime, but when we do, it was fun.. Papa said if the rain was heavy, it's ok to go and play, but if it is hujan panas or hujan rintik2 , it is not good. I think thats where i developed my love of rainy days.. Heheh.

Sometimes i wish to live in the village. Where there is a crystal clear river, plenty of fruit trees and a vast sawah padi..Life would be so much peaceful. Its quite sad when i realize that we are losing them..day by day. That is what happened to Papa. When he was a kid, he used to live with his grandparents, along the riverbanks. Long ago the river was crystal clear, and there were lots of fish he and his friends could catch. He even recognized which fish is what. But today, the river is crystal no more. Now its a river of 'teh tarik'..Huhu..

Isn't it sad if we lose the nature's treasure? I feel so.
